End User Licence Agreement
Last updated 4 October 2026
This End User Licence Agreement (the "Agreement") is between you andCaptivated Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("Captivated", "we", "us"). It governs your use of the Auto·Flickdesktop application and its updates (the "Software"). By installing or using the Software you agree to it. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.
Purchases are processed by our merchant of record, Stripe, whose own terms apply to the transaction itself; see also ourrefund policy, terms andprivacy policy.
1. Licence granted
Subject to this Agreement and your payment of the applicable fee (or your use of the free trial), Captivated grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software, in one of the following forms:
- Free trial — a 30-day evaluation of the full Software. After the trial ends, the Software keeps working but exported videos carry an Auto·Flick watermark until you activate a paid licence.
- Subscription licence — the right to use the Software for as long as your subscription is active and paid. Unwatermarked exports stop when the subscription lapses.
- Perpetual licence — a one-time purchase granting an ongoing right to use the version of the Software current at purchase and any updates we make available to you, without a recurring fee.
A licence key may be activated on a limited number of devices you own or control (currently up to three). The Software validates your licence periodically over the internet and allows a grace period for offline use.
2. What you may not do
You agree not to, and not to permit anyone else to:
- copy, distribute, resell, rent, lease, sublicense or share the Software or your licence key, except as this Agreement allows;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- remove or alter any proprietary notices, or circumvent the trial watermark, licensing or activation mechanisms;
- use the Software to infringe anyone's rights or to break the law.
3. Your content and your responsibilities
The Software runs on your machine and acts on the websites, footage, images, voices and other material you point it at ("Your Content"). As between you and Captivated, you own Your Content and the videos you produce. You are solely responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to record, process and publish Your Content, and for complying with the terms of any website or application you demo and the laws that apply to you.
4. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. Captivated and its licensors retain all right, title and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights. "Auto·Flick", the Auto·Flick mark, and the Auto· family branding are trademarks of Captivated. Nothing here transfers any of those rights to you.
5. Third-party components
The Software includes open-source and third-party components — including FFmpeg, Chromium, and the Whisper, Kokoro and Stable Audio models — each licensed under its own terms, which apply to those components and prevail over this Agreement to the extent of any conflict. On-device music generation uses Stability AI's Stable Audio, which is free for commercial use below the revenue threshold set out in its community licence. The full list of components and their licences is available inside the app under Settings → Legal.
6. Updates
We may provide updates, and the Software may download and install them. We may add, change or remove features over time. We are not obliged to provide any particular update or to support older versions indefinitely.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its output (including AI-generated storyboards, narration, transcripts and music) will be accurate or suitable for your purposes. Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits your statutory rights as a consumer, which are not affected.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Captivated will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Software. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with this Agreement will not exceed the amount you paid for the Software in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in this Agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
9. Term and termination
This Agreement applies while you use the Software. It ends automatically if you breach it, or if your subscription ends. On termination you must stop using and remove the Software. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will survive.
10. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections of the country in which you live.
